Chicken duo in the oven

Cooked Chicken Duet in Air Cooker

Time to cook: 60 minutes

Total Servings: 3

Nutritional Value

The air fryer is great, it helps to save your figure and your time. If you already have one, you can try cooking two different meals with the same set of products, all at the same time. The crispy chicken sticks are the kids' favorite, and the baked bread is good for sandwiches and as a snack. Best of all, there's not a gram of extra fat and almost no carbs in these dishes. It is good, isn't it??

How to cook "chicken duet" step by step with photos in the oven

Prepare minced meat from 1 kg of chicken fillet. If you're not "fighting" If you're not as combative about fats as we are, you can use other chicken parts or readymade ground meat.

Add 1 tablespoon mustard, 1 teaspoon salt, your favorite spices and mix well. If you have time, let the mince stand to let the mustard , at least 5-10 minutes. More is fine, it will only get better.

Now beat in 2 eggs or just the whites, if it's important for you to reduce the calories.

Sprinkle 2 spoonfuls of semolina over the stuffing and knead well. I couldn't take a picture of the next step, you'll see why. Sprinkle your hands generously with flour and, filling the filling with a tablespoon, make sausages the size of an average cucumber. The sausages are very soft and tender.

Place them on a baking tray lined with foil or oiled with a drop of butter. If the oil doesn't scare you, you can brush it on the surface of the sausages as well. I got 7 sausages, they took about a third of the stuffing.

By the way, I'm not using a silicone brush, but an ordinary paint brush 25 mm, bought at a hardware store and well washed. Greases much thinner! The natural bristles absorb the oil and allow you to spread a single drop on a large baking tray.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. I used a cream cheese with the lowest fat percentage, you can use any other kind. We have 0% brynza in our store, it would work great too, just the salt need to be reduced.

Mix the cheese with the rest of the filling.

Put it in an oblong mold, preferably a silicone mold - it does not require grease.

Put the dish on the bottom rack and the tray with the sausages on the top rack. Bake for 15 minutes at 175-180 degrees. Then remove the lid, flip the sausages over and bake for another 10-12 minutes on the other side. My air fryer is the simplest, no speed control. Look for the color: the sausages should be well browned, turning into sticks with a crispy crust. There should be some flour left on the sticks, you can wipe it off with a brush.

After taking out the ready breadsticks together with the grid, finish baking the bread in the mold until crispy crust at the same temperature. It took me 20 minutes. Then invert it onto a baking tray (you can use the one with the sticks), remove it from the mold, and check the sides and bottom. Mine were a little pale, so I browned the loaf for another 10 minutes on the same bottom rack.

Now it's different! The loaves are crusty, dense, and cut well. Great for a diet snack at work or at home.
