And no matter how many new beautiful and delicious recipes there are, the sweets from our childhood are the most, the most... Like cottage cheese koloboks, we fried them for our mothers, we fried them for our children, and today our daughters feed them to their restless children. And over the years, through the generations the recipe is passed, and something new is added to them, but they are still loved and desired on any table, even on the holiday, Easter. Today I have the kolobki with dried plums/ walnuts and dried apricots/minute, help yourselves.

How to cook cottage cheese balls with dried fruit and nuts step by step with photos

Add both sugars and eggs to the soft curd, Beat on low speed until smooth.

Mix sifted flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl. Combine flour and curd mixture and knead into an elastic dough. You may need a little more flour, depending on the moisture content of the cottage cheese and the size of the eggs.

Wash and dry dried apricots and prunes with a paper towel, fry the nuts. Fill dried apricots with almonds, and prunes with walnut slices.

Pinch off a piece of dough, 40-45 grams., Flatten into a circle, Put a piece of dried fruit and pinch thoroughly. Roll up a doughnut.

I advise you to mold all the pieces, to avoid inconveniences during frying.

Heat vegetable oil and lard, add a pinch of salt. If you don't have lard, that's okay, just fry in oil. Place the koloboks loosely, fry on just above medium heat until golden, turning frequently.

Drain on paper towel to remove excess fat. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired to serve.
