Waffles for breakfast? Why not? Nourishing and tasty waffles with oatmeal and cheese that don't take long to make. They are not crispy, more like pancakes (you can also make them in a pan, but I prefer the waffle iron, so that they bake rather than fry), and they are especially delicious warm.

Ingredients for waffles with oatmeal flakes:

  • Hard cheese - 100 g
  • Oat Flakes (about a cup and a half) - 100 g
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 150 g
  • Butter (or margarine) - 100 g
  • Chicken egg - 3 pcs
  • Milk - 300 ml
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt (beverage)
  • Leavening Agent - 1 teaspoon
  • Greens (any kind, to your liking) - 1/2 bunch.

How to cook waffles with oatmeal step by step with photos

Melt butter, cool, add grated cheese and eggs. You can heat up the waffle iron.

Then add sugar, salt, rolled oats and baking powder.

Pour in milk and mix well.

Add the flour. And finely chopped herbs. I had one of these "fuzzy" parsley. In principle, you can use any kind. It's really good with green onions and dill.

We make such a thick lumpy batter. We put about 2 tablespoons into the waffle iron and bake until brown. You don't have to grease the waffle iron.
