  • Butter - 80 g
  • Brynza - 80 g
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc
  • Dough leavening agent - 1/2 teaspoon

  • Raisins - 50 g
  • brown sugar - 60 g
  • Butter - 10 g
  • Cognac - 20 ml

How to cook apple pie on salt dough step by step with photos

Wash and dry raisins, pour over brandy (rum, liqueur). Leave for a few hours (overnight). You can use brewed tea instead of alcohol.

Peel the apples, cut into small cubes. The weight of the fruit is given after peeling. Melt the butter in a pan. Sprinkle the apples over it and cover with sugar (you can use white sugar, but the brown sugar makes the filling taste times richer)!), stir and stew the apples, stirring constantly, until the liquid evaporates. (Usually 4 minutes is enough, but it all depends on the juiciness of the fruit) The fire is active. Remove pan from heat, cool apples.

Prepare the dough while the filling cools. Grate bryndza on a fine grater, cold (but not frozen!) chop the butter into pieces. Is it possible to replace bryndza with cheese?? Yes. But the texture and taste of the dough, and therefore the entire pie, will be different from the suggestions.

Place in a bowl of a food processor or a chopper. In the bowl of a food processor or chopper put sheep cheese, butter, sifted flour mixed with baking powder. Grind the mixture into fine crumbs. (Use the metal chopping blade on the chopping attachment)

Add the egg. (С2) Start the food processor on. Kettle on high speed for a few seconds. The dough instantly forms a lump.

The dough is also very easy to make by hand: put the butter, white cheese and flour in a bowl and rub together quickly with your hands to make a crumb. Beat the egg. Mix the mass with a spatula, and then knead (a minute is enough) the dough with your hands until homogeneous.

Divide the dough into two parts: 3/4 и 1/4. Line the bottom of the cake pan with baking paper, d shape 15-16 cm. Spread the larger part of the pastry evenly over the entire dish, making a border 4 to 4.5 cm high. Mix cooled apples with raisins. Spread the filling in the pastry tin.
