Ingredients for the cake "apples under the snow":

  • Wheat Flour / Flour - 250 g
  • Sugar - 200 g
  • Salt (pinches)
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc
  • Butter - 150 g
  • Apple (sour-sweet varieties) - 1800 g
  • Lemon juice - 2 - 4 tablespoon
  • Apple juice - 450 ml
  • Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla pudding (37g packet) - 2 pack.
  • Bread crumbs / Breadcrumbs - 3 tablespoon
  • Egg white - 3 pcs
  • Powdered sugar - 200 g

How to cook cake "apples in the snow" step by step with photos

Our Food! Add more lemon juice and breadcrumbs - I forgot, as usual - maiden :) memory.

Mix flour, 75g sugar, salt, egg and butter. Form a smooth dough.

Place the dough in clingfilm and place it in the fridge for 1 hour.

Wash and peel the apples, remove the seeds and cut into cubes. A splash of lemon juice protects against blackening.

Combine 300ml of apple juice with 125g of sugar and cinnamon. Bring to the boil. There are lots of apples, so make sure you have a big pan!

Add apples and simmer compote for 5 minutes after boiling.

Dilute 2 puddings in 150 ml of apple juice.

Remove apples from the compote, slightly squeezing out the moisture.

Add the diluted pudding to the liquid that remains from boiling the apples with juice, stir, bring to the boil. Add apples, stir and leave to cool.

Grease a spring form (diameter 26 cm) with butter. On a floured work surface, roll out the dough with a diameter of 34 cm. Then transfer the pastry to the mould, making the rims 4 cm high. Sprinkle 3 tablespoon of breadcrumbs on the bottom of the mold. Let the mold with the dough cool again for 30 minutes.

Fill mold with apple compote. Rant the dough slightly pinch it. Place our cake in a preheated 175° oven for 50 minutes.

Shortly before the end of baking whisk 3 egg whites, then gradually add the powdered sugar. Whisk until the mixture becomes firm and glossy. Here I have a little bit by mistake, the whites are not beaten to a desired consistency (I have begun to enter the powder immediately), so I recommend sticking to the recipe and the result will be more attractive. Remove the cake from the oven. Spread egg whites on top of the cake, using a spoon to make peaks. Put the pie, at the same temperature, back in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

We take ready pie out of the oven, release it from the rant of the form, and leave it on the rack until it!!! )cool down.

This is how beautiful the cake got!!!
