Ingredients for Bacon & Cheese Stuffed Pie:

For the dough

  • Wheat Flour / Flour (adjust as you go +-) - 600 g
  • Milk - 200 g
  • Water - 50 g
  • Butter - 100 g
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar (-) - 1 tablespoon
  • Yeast (Dry, but may be replaced with fresh. 1 to 3 ratio) - 10 g

For stuffing

  • Bacon (+) - 150 g
  • Soft cheese (I used toast cheese.) - 100 g

For the grease

  • Egg yolk - 1 piece

How to cook bacon and cheese pie step by step with photos

Pour milk into a small pan, heat it gently, add sugar, yeast and 2 tablespoon of flour, mix well, cover and leave for 15 minutes. As soon as bubbles appear on the surface, the stew is ready

Sift flour into a large bowl, add salt, stir.

Cut the butter into slices and place in a small saucepan. Put the pan on a low heat, stirring to melt the butter

Make a well in the flour, add boiled sourdough, warm water and melted butter. Knead the dough smoothly. Always remember to adjust the amount of flour (+-), don't forget that the dough should be soft.

Cover the dough and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour. The dough will double in volume.

Sprinkle the work surface with flour, turn out the dough, crumple it and divide into 6 portions. Roll out one piece of dough as an oval (about 40-50 cm long and 15 cm wide) Put the filling (bacon and cheese cut into small pieces) all the way around

Pinch the ends

Roll out the second piece of dough (it will be slightly larger than the previous one). Place a patty on top of the larger one. Cut the loose ends of the cake at an angle into strips about 8 mm wide.

And begin to weave. We put the first strip from the right side on top of the cake, take the first strip from the left side and put it on top of the previous one. And so we continue in staggered order
