Ingredients for making dough.
We additionally need 3 to 4 medium sized potatoes for the filling. |
Add milk, 50g butter and heat until the butter melts in a bowl. |
Add vegetable oil (1 tbsp. Spoon), add sugar (1 Tbsp. tablespoon). If the milk is hot, let the mixture cool slightly. |
Add yeast (7g) to the warm mixture.
Set the mixture aside for 15-20 min. Let the mixture melt for about 15-20 minutes in order to allow the yeast to melt, then add salt. |
Add egg (1 egg yolk), egg salad! 1 piece).
Whisk the mixture with a fork. |
Gradually, in batches, add the desired amount of flour, 2.5 to 3 cups. |
Knead the dough. Cover the bowl with clingfilm or a towel and leave it in a warm place to rise. |
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain them. Puree boiled potatoes. |
Milk (1/2 tbsp.Boil milk (1/2 tbsp) and butter (70g) and add to mashed potatoes.
Optionally add dried herbs (if desired) 1/2 tsp. spoon. |
The dough has risen well enough, you need to knead it and put for a second rise, then you can begin to cut the patties. |
Divide the dough into equal slices, roll into balls. |
Roll out each ball into a cake with diameter of 10-11 cm.
In the middle put the filling of mashed potatoes. |
Next, step by step, I have tried to show how to make a shaped pinch "pigtail" or "spike".
Protect nose of future pie. |
Make a small fold. |
And so on... Pinch, pin to the other side. |

I had some dough left over and made some patties for deep frying. |
Place the patties on a baking sheet. |
Brush them with whisked egg and put them in the oven for baking. Bake at 180°C until soft.
In this case, everyone should be guided by their own oven, they all have different ones. I only give an approximate temperature for baking. |
