Magnificent in appearance and taste Russian cuisine. The family loved it... If you prepare the toppings and dough in advance, it's very easy to make. This is my debut on the site, if technically I do something wrong, ready to answer any questions ))). What to say about the recipe... I really wanted to make kurnik. Those recipes that I have found before, just pie with chicken and potatoes... My soul asked for something more sophisticated. And I found it. Honestly, this recipe is not original, but adapted to my tastes and abilities)).

Ingredients for kurnik:

  • Milk (into the dough) - 2 glass
  • Chicken Egg (3 into batter, 2 into pancakes, 3 into stuffing) - 8 units
  • sugar (in the batter) - 2 tablespoon
  • Margarine (into the dough) - 50 g
  • Vegetable oil (into the dough ) - 1/3 glass
  • Yeast (into the dough; 2 tsp dry yeast.l.) - 50 g
  • Salt (1/4 tsp.l., stuffing - to taste)
  • Wheat flour / Flour (approximately) - 7 glass
  • Chicken breast (boil, for stuffing) - 450 g
  • Mushrooms (Any kind, I have chives for the filling) - 150 g
  • Rice (Boil it, for the stuffing) - 60 g

How to cook kurnik step by step with photos

Prepare the dough from the ingredients listed, no photo, I will not go into details. It is possible to prepare yeast dough in any recipe. Next, the FILLING. Boil chicken fillet, cut and mix with fried in vegetable oil onion, add a couple of spoons of sour cream or mayonnaise (it is not in the photo, I forgot and added later )))))

Boil some rice, mix it with fried onions, salt and black pepper

Fry mushrooms and onions, season with salt and black pepper

Boil eggs, cut into small pieces, mix with fried onions, salt.

Bake pancakes. Take one or two eggs, beat them with a tablespoon of granulated sugar and salt, add a glass of milk and flour.

Roll out the yeast dough in a circle a little bigger in diameter than our pancakes. I simply put the pan on which the pancakes were baked on the rolled out layer of dough and circled it, adding a centimeter and a half.

Place a pancake on a circle of dough.Place stuffed chicken on top and cover with another pancake. Lay all stuffing in layers, gluing them with pancakes. Stack the stuffing in a cone-shaped pile...

You can add chopped greens to each of the stuffing; the taste becomes even more refined. I, unfortunately, did not have any on hand.

We cover the last layer of stuffing with a pancake and cover everything with rolled out yeast dough. Trim off the excess, leaving a little for a pinch. Prick the pancake with a fork, put a rose made of scraps of yeast dough on top, arrange leaves of the same dough on each side. Brush all this beauty with beaten up egg and put in the oven for 30-40 minutes until the dough is ready, and we have the filling!
