Ingredients for cake :


  • Sourdough - 1 glass
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Yeast - 1 teaspoon
  • Egg (2 eggs in the dough, 1 egg to grease the dough before baking) - 3 pcs
  • Wheat flour / Flour (watch the consistency of the dough) - 4,5 glass
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoon


  • Onions (small size) - 1 pc
  • Ground meat - 500 g
  • Water (for stewing minced meat) - 1/2 glass
  • Spinach - 2 puch.
  • Raisins - 50 g
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • vegetable oil (for frying onions and greasing the baking forms) - 3 tablespoon
  • Buckwheat grits (boiled in advance) - 1 glass
  • Hard cheese (grated on a fine grater) - 100 g

How to cook cake "Done" step by step with photos

I dissolve 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon dry yeast in warm sour milk. I add 2 eggs and sifted flour - about 4.5 cups (it may be a little more or less flour, depending on the consistency of the dough). Knead the dough.

Towards the end of the kneading process add 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Knead the dough well until smooth. It should fall out of your hands.

Cover it with a clean towel and let it rest in a warm place for about an hour.

And in the meantime I'll prepare the stuffing. First of all soak raisins in hot water. Now we need to finely chop the onion.

Spinach wash, dry and also finely chop.

Fry onion with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over low heat until golden brown.

Now add 1/2 cup water and minced meat to the onions and let them cook until tender, stirring occasionally.

Once the minced meat is ready, you can add chopped spinach, pre-cooked buckwheat groats and steamed raisins. Stir everything thoroughly and after a minute take the pan off the heat. Salt and pepper the ready stuffing to taste. Leave the stuffing to cool for now. Grate some hard cheese on a fine grater.

Back to the dough. Divide it into two parts. I take the first part and roll it out to the size of the shape. I have a mold with a diameter of 24 cm and a height of 7 cm (but I will not do the full height of the mold, but about 4.5-5 cm in height). Roll out the dough pretty thin, about 7 mm. Grease the mold with vegetable oil and dust it with flour. Gently move the dough into the mold, making sure the edges of the dough go over the edge of the mold.

Spread cooled stuffing on top of the dough. Flatten out, and put grated cheese on top.

Now roll out the second part of the dough to the desired size and carefully pinch the edges. From the remaining dough you can make decorations to your liking. I have these leaves, as the pie is with spinach, so I decided to decorate it with these elements. Let the pie stand for 15 minutes, brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated 180 degrees oven for about 45 minutes (depending on your oven and the browning of the pie).

Pie "Done" Ready!!! Let it cool a bit while I make some tea!
