Inspired by an Italian lasagna, a Belarusian Couronik and some leftover pancakes in the fridge. I made this up on my own, so I didn't check the recipes, so I'm pretty sure there's no such thing. If I'm wrong, I apologize in advance... I did not expect, frankly, that it would be so delicious, and the pie is especially good the next day.

Ingredients for the pie "fake kurnik":

  • Wheat Flour / Flour (2 cups for the dough, 2-3 tablespoons for the filling). spoon.) - 2.5 glass
  • Milk (3 cups for the dough, 1 cup for the filling) - 4 glass
  • chicken egg (2 for the dough, 1 for the pie filling) - 3 units
  • vegetable oil (for frying pancakes and stuffing) - 1 glass
  • Chicken breast (turkey, duck, minced meat can be used) - 2 pcs
  • Onions - 2 pcs
  • Carrots - 1 pc
  • Mushrooms (I took mushrooms, but you can do without them) - 200 g
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (ground to taste and any other spices and spices you like)
  • Sugar - 0.5 tablespoon
  • Mustard (I use "French", as long as they were whole grains) - 1 tablespoon
  • Nutmeg (ground, to taste, it's highly recommended to add to the filling, it gives an indescribable note to the whole dish)

How to cook cake "fake kurnik" step by step with photos

Pancakes: Pour 1 cup of milk in a bowl with salt and a pinch of sugar to taste (I put 0.5 tablespoons), whisk the yolks of 2 eggs. Gradually add remaining 2 cups of milk. In another bowl, sift 2 cups of flour, then gently, in a thin stream, stirring constantly with a whisk, pour the milk mixture into the flour, kneading the pancake batter. Continuing to whisk, pour about 0.5 cup of vegetable oil, again in a thin stream. When the dough is thoroughly kneaded without lumps, add, stirring gently, the whites of the 2 eggs. It's a long story, but it's quick and easy to make. You'd have to wash three bowls, though. But I've been baking pancakes this way since I was 14 and I always manage to make even the 1st pancake! I only whip the whites with a mixer, the rest with a whisk. Everyone I know likes these pancakes, once they even asked me to make them for a wedding, despite the fact that the cooks were invited. Campaigning for pancakes is over... Let's proceed to the stuffing.

Pour 0.25 cup of vegetable oil on a well heated frying pan. We wait until the oil heats up and add chopped onion, when the onion begins to golden, we add carrot grated on a fine grater. Stir-fry and fry another 5-7 minutes. Sprinkle fried vegetables with 0.5 cups of flour through a sieve, stir quickly and fry a little more vegetables with flour. Then thinly pour 1 cup of hot milk (not necessarily boiling, just hot enough). Stir all the time, so that there are no lumps. At the very end we add finely chopped boiled chicken breasts. Again, a long description, to do very quickly. It came out easily, playfully...

We fry the mushrooms separately in the remaining oil and add them to the rest of the stuffing. Basically we can use less oil. Now assemble our pie. Put one pancake on a greased frying pan. Grease it with stuffing, cover with another pancake, again - stuffing, pancake, stuffing, pancake, etc.д. To the desired height of the pie.

Last layer - pancake. Whip 1 egg with mustard and pour the pie, making sure to coat sides well. Put in oven at 180-200 degrees. Bake for about 20 minutes.
