Family Noodles

Cooked Family Cheddar

Nutritional Value

Our family is young and doesn't have any established traditions yet. We are constantly experimenting with different foods and cuisines. Before, it was only necessary to "think" for two, but now our daughter is growing up and is slowly passing to "normal" food. So it was quite difficult to choose a recipe for the contest "Family Meal of the Year" so that it would combine both harmonious taste and benefit (or at least not harm) for my daughter. After much deliberation we decided on pie. After all, from ancient times pie took pride of place on the Russian table. There is even a saying - "The house is not red with corners, but red with pies. So we decided to decorate our "house" pie with salmon and vegetables. We got a very tender, juicy and extremely tasty pie, which pleased our whole family. You too should try it!

How to cook family noodles step by step with photos

Let's get down to making dough. Here comes my little girl Snezhanka. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Crack an egg in it, add two tablespoons of olive oil, salt to taste. My assistant helps to mix it well.

Pour in the flour and knead the dough well and for a long time, so it does not stick to your hands. Our daughter tasting whether the dough sticks or not :) Then we form a ball, cover the bowl with a towel and put it in a warm place for about 1 hour. We wait for the dough to double in size.

Meanwhile my husband prepares the stuffing. He separates the fish from the bones, slices it into large pieces, salts it and sprinkles lemon juice on it. We leave it like this for about 30 minutes.

Couldn't do without an assistant here as well :)

We lightly fry the vegetables in a greased pan, without salt, on a very low flame.

Grate the cheese and garlic on a coarse grater.

Chop the parsley and dill finely and mix with the cheese and garlic.

When the dough is ready, roll it out as a thin layer, leaving a small ball to decorate our noodles. To my surprise, Snezhanka took a rolling pin and began to roll out the dough correctly herself :) although I have not specially taught her, apparently, it is in the blood of women :)

In the middle of the dough layer spread out an even layer of vegetables and put a little salt.

On top pour a layer of grated cheese, herbs and garlic mixture.

Next, lay the prepared salmon, sprinkle with red pepper (the amount of pepper depends on your love of pepper).

Pour cheese-garlic mixture on top of the fish again. Fold in the edges of the pastry to create a "slipper".

Transfer to a baking dish. Decorate with strips of dough.

Allow our daughter to grease the pastry with egg yolk and let the cake rest for about 15-20 minutes. Place our slipper cake in the preheated oven and bake it for about 30-40 minutes at medium temperature.

Remove the pie from the oven when it is evenly coated with a golden ruddy crust.

The pie is delicious both hot and cold.

Bon appetit!
