The pie combines a vegetable filling, which is enriched with chicken fillet and mushrooms and enveloped in an airy cheese custard dough. It's easy and fun to make, and you'll be very pleased with the result: tasty, fragrant, filling, beautiful, colorful and original! Help yourself!

Ingredients for pie "golden ring":


For the dough:

  • Water - 150 ml
  • Butter - 90 g
  • Salt - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 100 g
  • Chicken egg (Category C-0) - 3 units
  • Hard cheese (+ 2 tbsp.grated for sprinkles.) - 90 g

For the stuffing:

  • Chicken fillet - 400 g
  • Mushrooms - 350 g
  • Onions (All vegetables are medium sized.) - 1 pc
  • Carrots - 1 pc
  • Petiole celery - 2 pcs
  • Green peas - 100 g
  • Butter - 2 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoon
  • Spices - to taste
  • Wheat flour / Flour (approx. 25g.) - 1 tablespoon

How to cook cake "golden ring" step by step with photos


Peel onion and carrots. Wash together with celery and cut into small cubes. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and butter in a frying pan. Fry onion until transparent. Then add carrots and celery. Fry, stirring, for 10 minutes.

Add flour and stir for a minute. Pour broth (or water), bring to a boil, stir until the sauce thickens.

Pan fry the mushrooms.

Salt and pepper chicken breast. Slice and fry chicken breast in pieces. Cut pan-fried pieces into small pieces.

We add roasted mushrooms, chicken breast and peas to the roasted vegetables. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Stir and braise for 2 more minutes.

For the dough pour water into a pan or saucepan and place on the heat. Season with salt, add butter and let it melt. Bring mixture to the boil. Sift flour. Reduce heat under the saucepan. Pour in flour and stir vigorously all the time, until the dough forms a ball and comes off the sides of the pan. Remove from heat.

Let the dough cool down a little (3 minutes). Add eggs, one at a time. After each egg is added, knead the mixture thoroughly. Then add cubed cheese into the paste. Stir . The dough is ready.

Butter a round baking pan (my size is 24 cm). Spread the dough 2/3 ways.

Place the filling in the center. Cover with remaining 1/3 of the dough. Spread the dough around the edge of the mold so that there is an opening in the middle. Sprinkle grated cheese on top of pastry.

Bake in a preheated 190C oven for 35 minutes. Do not open the oven!

Let the ready pie cool for 10 minutes and then put it on a dish.
