And for some reason the smell of pine needles reminded me of my childhood, when on New Year Eve my grandmother baked her sweet-scented pies and the smell of Christmas trees mixed with the smell of newly baked pies with cherries or apples! Ingredients for pie "holiday braid":

  • Wheat flour / Flour - 4,5-5 glass
  • Egg - 3 pcs
  • Sugar - 150 g
  • Vanillin - 1 sachet.
  • Milk (warm) - 250 ml
  • yeast (11g) - 1 sachet.
  • Margarine - 100 g
  • Salt (pizza)
  • Marmalade - 10 pcs
  • Banana - 1pc
  • Cheese curd (glazed chocolate or chocolate chip cottage cheese) - 2-3 pcs
  • Poppy - 1 tablespoon
  • Coconut flakes - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 teaspoon

How to cook cake "holiday braid" step by step with photos

Beat 2 eggs and 1 egg white (leave the egg yolk for oiling the cake) with sugar and vanilla, add a pinch of salt, warm milk, stir and add 4 cups of flour, mixed with dried yeast. Knead the dough, gradually pouring melted margarine, knead well. Leave in a warm place for 15 minutes.
