It's probably one of the tastiest pies in the world, because it smells like my childhood. We always associate pies with home cooking in our family. It takes some effort, but believe me, this splendor of flavor is worth the effort. Ingredients for pie "festive" on sour cream pastry:

  • Wheat flour / Flour - 600 g
  • Salt - 1.5 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Yeast - 1.5 teaspoon
  • Sour cream - 200 g
  • Kefir - 160 ml
  • Butter - 40 g
  • Chicken egg - 4 pcs
  • Sunflower oil - 50 ml
  • White cabbage / Cabbage - 600 g
  • Onion - 1 pc
  • Greens - to taste
  • Allspice - to taste

Make stuffing. Shred peeled onion and put it in a heated frying pan with oil. Sauté onion over medium heat until golden and translucent.

Then shred the cabbage, salt it and lightly rub it with your hands, squeeze out the juice. Add the cabbage to the pan with the fried onions. We fry it, stirring so it doesn't burn.

I know that cabbage is a very simple pie filling, so I decided to mix it with eggs. Boil 3 eggs. Slice into small pieces.

Add chopped eggs, pepper, herbs to the cooled cabbage stuffing. Stir everything up.

And now that our stuffing is ready, we can start the dough. The dough I make with a bread machine, but you can make it the usual way. In the bucket of the baker put according to the instructions: sour cream, kefir, egg, butter (melted), flour (sift and weigh), yeast.

Put the bucket in the bread machine, turn on the mode "dough". The dough is cooked for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once the dough is ready, take it out of the bread machine. And start to cut it. The dough turns out elastic, very soft and tender.

Divide the dough into two parts and leave another small piece to decorate the pie. Roll out each piece with a rolling pin (about 0.5 cm thick).

Grease a baking dish with vegetable oil and put a piece of dough in it, so that a little rim is formed.

Spread the filling evenly over the whole surface.

Cover the filling with the second plate of dough (previously I made a grid on this plate with a roller). I try to decorate the pies and this time was no exception. From the remaining small piece of dough I cut out the hearts. You can also use your imagination, it's not so difficult. Wet the hearts on the inside and glue them to the pie. Leave the cake in a warm place for half an hour, as the yeast dough requires, and then grease it with an egg yolk mixed with a tablespoon of milk.

Set the oven temperature to 170 degrees and time it for 35 minutes. I say approximately, because everyone has different ovens. Check the readiness of the pie with a wooden stick. Well, now our cake is ready.
