Is it possible to spend half a day talking with your girlfriends and still have time to cook dinner?? Yes, it is!!! I used to take the kids to kindergarten with my girlfriends, and to have time to talk and do homework, we would just go first to Ira's, then to Alla's... and then to my place, and we had time to talk too much, and to clean up and cook!! Those days are in the past... But today I felt like talking and had to cook dinner. So I decided to remember the good old days!!!

Ingredients for the dinner of a lazy housewife:

  • Offal (Boiled veal lung, approx.) - 400 g
  • Mashed meat (I had beef. You can have any kind) - 500 g
  • Onions (Who likes it?. I had a large bulb) - 1 pc
  • Garlic (optional) - 3 clove
  • Greens (Any you can find, I had basil and celery. Dill would have been nice, but I didn't have any fresh dill, and I didn't use dried dill)
  • Hard cheese (Any kind, though you can do without cheese, it just binds the filling and it's easier to cut) - 100-150 g
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 3 glass
  • Kefir (or sour milk) - 1 glass
  • Vegetable oil - 0,5 glass
  • Yeast (You can also use fresh yeast, but then take 30g) - 10 g
  • Salt - 1,5 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 2 teaspoon

How to cook dinner for a lazy housewife step by step with photos

Put boiled lung through meat grinder twice. I always add lung when possible to the meat filling - it's juicier and tastier. And lung is cheaper than meat, so it's more economical too. You can use just the lung, it's also delicious and even more economical.

Fry the minced meat lightly, so that it only changes color. Add the lung, onion and finely chopped garlic. Keep it all on the fire for about five minutes. Remove, add herbs, salt and pepper. The stuffing should not be overcooked, otherwise it will be dry.

That's how we got the stuffing. While it cools, I can make coffee, a friend has already arrived.

I didn't film the process of making the dough. Mix warm kefir with sugar, salt and butter, add flour mixed with dry yeast. Knead the dough. Let it rise. When ready, roll out the dough into a layer about 0.5 cm thick and put our filling, press it with your hands or a spoon, sprinkle the pie with grated cheese on top, the cheese will bind the filling and cutting the pie will be easier. Although you can do without cheese. The men will carefully eat the rest of the meat filling off the pie plate. All that's left is to put the pie in the oven!

I had time to chat and wash the laundry, of course, not me but the washing machine, but the result is visible and hangs beautifully in the yard. I made a salad for our pie with fresh cucumber, lettuce, green onions and garlic with sour cream.

I also made dandelion jam using the recipe from Miss the cook (Lord, make sure I don't get the recipe's author's name wrong). Thank you so much to her!!! Honey - just no words!!! It's dandelion season, boil it up girls, I suggest hot!!!

This is how the pie turned out! And dinner's ready and I've had enough to talk about!! And the idea, just in this form to lay out a recipe, came after a conversation with a young, just starting a life together girl... Say, household chores take away so much time and to communicate with friends does not have time at all... So I decided to challenge her remark!! I got all the news, told mine, drank three cups of coffee, did the laundry and cooked dinner!!! Oh, and four more jars of wonderful jam I can put in the pantry...
