I make the yeast dough in the bread machine, but you can also make it the normal way. I pour warm milk and cream into the bucket in the bread maker. I add the yeast and let it stand for 5-10 minutes.

I add the sifted flour, salt and sugar.

I put the bucket in the baking machine and turn on the kneading mode.

When the dough has been kneaded, I transfer it to a bowl and cover it with cling film

And give it to increase in volume by 2-3 times in a warm place.

Then I transfer the dough to the table and knead it well.

Now you need to divide the dough into pieces, I weigh them, but you can divide the dough by eye. I divide the dough this way - 10 pieces of 12 g (that's ears), 5 pieces of 20 g ("rim" I divide the rest of the dough into 5 equal pieces, about 47g each (the bottom of the trifle). I cover the pieces of dough with clingfilm and let them rest for 10-15 minutes.

At this time I prepare the filling. We like to have a lot of filling in pies and cakes, so I take 250 grams of cottage cheese, but you can reduce the portion of filling. In a bowl I combine the cottage cheese (you can put the cottage cheese through a meat grinder, my cottage cheese is soft and smooth, I did not skip), sugar, egg yolk, vanilla.

I mix the curd mass well.

When the pieces of dough have rested, I start shaping the cakes.

Roll out the dough for the bottom in a circle.

I use the slices for the ears to make balls, and the dough for the "rim" I make a plaited wreath.

I assemble the cakes on a baking tray greased with oil (I baked the cakes on two trays, as the cakes. к. my oven is small). First, I put a circle, then I put ears to the circle and the ends "rim" I put the ends of the rim together and put it on top of the circle.

I cover the cakes with clingfilm and let them double in size.

I press down the middle of the cakes after rising.

Fill the loaves with cottage cheese filling.

Then I decorate the cakes with slices of pineapple (you can cut them into small cubes), press them into the curd mass.

Brush the dough with beaten egg.

Bake the cakes in the oven at 190 degrees until golden brown (I baked for about 19 minutes). Enjoy!!
