  • Sour cream - 1 tablespoon
  • Milk - 50 ml
  • Chicken egg (1 in the dough, 1 to grease the dough before baking) - 2 pcs
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 200 g
  • Soda - 3 g
  • Black pepper (peas for decoration) - to taste
  • Butter - 50 g


  • Opyatka (pickled) - 75 g
  • Cream cheese (creamy) - 1 pc
  • quail egg (hard boiled) - 5 units
  • Green onions - 2 sprigs.
  • Sour cream - 2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

How to cook patties "mouska's muffin tales" step by step with photos

Melt 50g butter and mix with 50ml room temperature milk, 1 tablespoon sour cream. Stir well. Now add 1 egg, 0.5 teaspoon salt and 0.5 teaspoon sugar. Mix thoroughly.

Sift 200g (maybe a little more) flour and mix with 3g (1 pint) of baking soda. Gradually add flour and knead a yeast-free dough.

The dough should not stick to your hands, it is light and elastic, but not steep. Cover with a clean towel and let it rest.

Meanwhile prepare stuffing. If you are cooking for children, then exclude mushrooms from the stuffing! Boil 5 quail eggs, peel them and grate on a coarse grater. Finely chop green onions. Grate melted cream cheese on a coarse grater. Now combine quail eggs, green onion, melted cheese and 75g of pickled mushrooms in a bowl. Add 2 teaspoon of sour cream and mix everything carefully. Now you have to add salt and ground black pepper to taste. The filling is ready!

Divide the pastry into equal parts, and roll out each part into a circle about 8 cm in diameter. The thickness of the dough is about 8-10 mm. Put 1 teaspoon of filling in each patty. If you put more filling, the pastry may crack during baking.

Carefully pinch the edges to form the patties.

Turn the patty with the seam facing downward and press it lightly against the table so the seam becomes imperceptible. Using kitchen scissors, make small superficial incisions and form rounded mouse ears. The incisions should be made so that the integrity of the patty is not damaged, otherwise the filling will come out when baked. Form a tail from a thin strip of dough and fasten it carefully on the side of the seam.

Use black pepper to decorate the eyes and nose of the mouse.

Shape the mice in this way, lay them on parchment and brush with beaten egg.

In a preheated oven at 180 degrees bake the patties until golden brown, about 20-25 minutes, taking into account the peculiarities of your oven. And now let's call everyone to the feast table!
