Oven marmalade pie

Cooked Marmalade Pie from the bread machine

Nutritional Value

In fact, I've baked this cake both in the bread machine and in the oven. Very tender and crumbly. I found the recipe on the internet. You can make this cake in the bakery if it has the "Baking", т. к. The standard time is not long enough for the cake to bake completely. I made it in the baker today because. к. the oven was full of chicken breasts. I like this pie better in the oven, since. к. it bakes faster and is easier to cut. But I'm leaving out the bread machine version just to share a few tricks of the trade, which makes this device even more versatile.

When choosing marmalade, be sure to look for pectin in its composition. Pectin (from Greek pektos - coagulated, solidified) is a gluing substance of plant origin. Pectin is very important for stabilizing metabolism, it reduces cholesterol in the body, improves circulation and bowel function. But its most valuable property is that it has the ability to clean living organisms from harmful substances. So, despite the negative impact of dyes and flavorings, the benefits of marmalade is still there, but only in those that contain pectin. So, if children are insistent on demanding colored candy, then stop at the marmalade. Well, we got off topic. We cut the marmalade into small cubes.

Thoroughly roll it in flour to separate the pieces of marmalade, and they do not stick together in the cake.

Put the sour cream in the bowl of the bread machine.

I usually cut the butter for baking in the bread machine in small pieces, but t. к. There are no eggs here and not enough liquid ingredients come out, so I melted the butter in the microwave. Pour the butter into the sour cream.

Add sugar.

Add flour and baking powder.

Put the bowl in the bread maker and turn on the non-starch baking mode. I use (Kenwood) this mode "Brownie".

Unfortunately in this mode my baker does not give the signal to load the additives, so I add marmalade after 5 minutes of kneading.

Now quite an important point. The thing is that the consistency of this cake is sandy, which means that it is fragile. I have already written about this method in my previous recipe for a cake in the bread machine, but if there it is desirable, then here - obligatory. You have to wait for the moment when the kneading is finished and the baking begins. At this point it is necessary to pull out the mixer(s), otherwise when you take the pie out of the bowl, or mixers from the finished pie - it can crumble.

At the end of the program turn the oven back on "Baking only" for about 30-40 minutes. Check the readiness of the pie with a wooden stick. Of course, such a cake will bake faster in the oven (only 25-30 minutes), because. к. it is laid out in a form of a thinner layer. But there are situations (like mine) when the oven is busy for some reason.

We take the finished pie out of the bowl of the bread maker and cool it.

We cut it up and serve it with tea or coffee.

The pie is exceptionally tender, and the spots The marmalade and the dough are especially delicious! Try it, I am sure you will like it!
