I made these little cakes last Christmas, but I hesitated to display the recipe. But it is also very delicious! I hope that someone likes it, and that this idea will come in handy.

THE DOUGH. Every hostess has her favorite recipe for yeast dough, I think that for this recipe it is not very important what kind of dough it is. I always make the easiest. 1. Heat milk, mix sugar, salt, yeast. Add melted margarine. 2. Sift together flour (room temperature is advised) and knead into a soft, elastic dough.

3. Knead the dough for about 10-15 minutes. So it doesn't stick to your hands. I like to call this state of the dough "vivid". 4. Place the dough in a bowl dusted with flour and cover with a towel. Place in a warm, draught-free place. 5. The dough takes 2-2.5 hours to rise, during which time it needs to be kneaded a couple of times.

While the dough is heating, prepare the cherries for the filling. I have canned cherries in their own juice. I put them in a colander to drain all the liquid.

Let's begin forming the patties. 1. Divide the dough into 4 parts (for easy access). 2. Form a thin roll in each piece. 3. Cut the roll into small tortillas. 4. Roll out each cake with a rolling pin.

5. Place a cherry in the center of each patty and seal it tightly. Form a pie.

And so on until the whole tray is filled. Coat the baking tray with oil, or better yet - put parchment on it and grease it with oil - in case the cherries leak, they won't stick to the tray.

Leave the patties for 35-40 minutes, until they have doubled in size. Beat egg and smear it over the patties before placing them in the oven. Preheat oven and bake until ready at 200 degrees.

This is how the ready patties look like. Now for the hard part. You have to let them dry for 24 hours.

I still had some dough left over, and I used it to bake baguettes for sandwiches.

The final step. Mix sour cream with sugar and vanilla and let stand for 30-40 minutes. If the sour cream is thick (homemade), you can dilute it a little with fresh milk.

Put patties one by one, standing in a pan (preferably not sticking).

Pour sweet sour cream on them and let them stand for about thirty minutes. Then put on a very small fire, so they don't boil, but languish. If you don't have much time, you can put them in the microwave, but it does not work like that. It is also cool in the oven, but I do not have such a pot.

When the sour cream has boiled away, turn it off and let it stand and cool for a while. And that's it. Let's treat our family and friends. It's a bit long and troublesome, but the result is worth it. My family was raving about it and asked for more, that's all I needed!!!!
