How to cook pea cakes step by step with photos

Soak peas in water overnight first thing you need to do. The peas need to be raw, whole, but they can also be chopped. Rinse them well and pour cold water over them, covering them by about 2-3 cm. In the morning we start with the dough. You can make dough according to your own recipe, the only nuance - it should not be sweet. I make the dough like this. I take warm boiled water, add kefir (I tried butter and sour cream, what is in the fridge), with it the dough is very soft (but you can also just knead it in water). Then I add an egg, sunflower oil, sugar, salt and yeast. Stirring.

I add flour to make the dough soft. Let it rise for an hour.

While the dough is ripening let's work on the peas. We wash it after soaking and put it in "the macerator". Then with the "a dipstick" rub to remove the husks.

Now wash (husk all floats up) peas, separating them from the husk. For chopped peas, these actions are not required. But the pies are most delicious with such peas. You can also take green peas.

Now, using a blender, beat peas with onion and salt to a smooth consistency. I have a small blender, so I do this in two steps. In a large blender, you can safely load the entire batch. There should be a lot of onions, about 1/3 of all the peas (see your taste).

If the mixture is too thick, you can add cold boiled water. It should consistency like a thick sour cream. How do peas smell?!!! I love the smell.) Here it comes!!!

Our dough is ready.

We grease the tray with sunflower oil and begin to make patties. We divide the dough into small balls.

Roll them out with a rolling pin (I just form a patty with my hands) and make patties. You will need about 1 tablespoon of filling per pie.

Since the filling is a bit runny, it's not easy to make a good-looking patty. I place the flapjack on a table, fill it with filling, then gently pat it on both sides, while gently pulling the dough apart. This is how a pie should turn out. In total, the above amount of ingredients would make 15 patties, just enough for one baking tray. Let the patties stand for 20-30 minutes to rise. Then grease them with egg and bake in a heated oven for 30-40 minutes. (depending on your oven) at 180-200 degrees.

While the patties are baking and smelling all over the house)), prepare the garlic sauce. To do that, we take a small garlic clove, peel it and, using the same grind it with salt to a pulp.

To the pulp add a little sunflower oil and grind it one more time.

Now add cold boiled water and some dill, stir. You should get a sauce like this.

The ready cakes, having cooled a little (for this purpose I cover them with a kitchen towel for about 10 minutes), but still hot, separate from each other and start dipping in the ready sauce those parts where the baked dough is (not white at the joints). Just joints will be very wet. The flavor is unparalleled!!!

We put the ready patties in a bowl, cover them so that they get soaked in the garlic and dill flavor and eat them with pleasure!!! In sauce which has remained it is possible to eat in a bite with pies if you like spicy. Enjoy!!!! P.S. Do not judge severely, not really know Russian, if there are any mistakes excuse me, I've tried very hard.
