How to cook mushroom and pork tongue pie step by step with photos

Boil tongue beforehand. Put the tongue in a pot, then pour cold water over it. Bring to the boil on the fire, bring the water to a boil. Then drain the water and rinse the tongue under cold water. Pour the water back into the pot, put the descaled tongue, put on the fire, bring to a boil. Turn down the heat and simmer for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then take the tongue out and cool it down. Carefully remove the skin. Pour the broth in which the tongue was boiling, salt it and add your favorite spices (I have black pepper, coriander, bay leaf, allspice). Put the tongue into the broth, bring it to the boil and simmer for about 30 minutes. Remove the tongue from the broth and leave to cool.

Cut ready pork tongue into slices.

Wipe fresh champignons with a napkin. Slice into slices.

Put the mushrooms in a bowl, sprinkle with sugar and pour the soy sauce Kikkoman. Stir and leave to marinate for 15 minutes.

Peel the onions and cut them into rings or half rings.

Fry the onion in vegetable oil until transparent, lightly salt and pepper it, and add a little sugar.

Add mushrooms to onions and fry until all liquid evaporates.

In a bowl combine sliced tongue and hot fried mushrooms. Add mayonnaise. Mix well and let the filling cool.

Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out one layer of puff pastry into a rectangle. And using a rolling pin, transfer it to a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Then lay out the filling, spreading it gently over the surface of the dough, leaving a little space on each edge free from the filling.

Grate hard cheese on large grater.

Place it on top of stuffing.

Then overlap the edges of the pastry.

Roll out the second piece of dough into a rectangle and cut into ribbons.

Place strips on top of pie, tucking the ends of each strip under the pie.

Brush the pie with beaten egg. Put it in a preheated oven (200 degrees). Bake for about 20-25 minutes.

Take the ready cake out of the oven. Put on the baking paper and put on the wire rack and let cool. You only have to make some delicious tea and invite your nearest and dearest to the table!

Bon appetit!
