Ingredients for potato and salmon pie:


Dough

  • Wheat flour / Flour - 270 g
  • Chicken egg (or egg powder 2 tbsp.l.) - 2 pcs
  • Cheese cheese (0,5%) - 200 g
  • Milk - 150 ml
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoon
  • Dough leavening agent - 1.5 teaspoon
  • Salt - 3 pinch.

Stuffing

  • Salmon - 250 g
  • Potatoes - 2 pcs
  • Lemon pepper - to taste
  • Soy sauce (TM"Kikkoman") - 1 tablespoon
  • Thyme - to taste
  • Leeks - 1 handful.
  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Olive oil - 1 teaspoon

For the topping

  • Egg yolk - 1 pc
  • Cream - 1 tablepoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon

How to cook potato and salmon pie step by step with photos


Sift flour, add salt and baking powder.

Add egg powder or an egg.

If the cottage cheese is thickly crumbled, it should be strained.

Now add it to the flour mixture.

Pour in the milk and butter.

Knead with a spatula or spoon first.

Knead and roll the dough into a ball with your hands and leave it covered at room temperature.

This is how porous the dough becomes inside after 20-30 minutes.

In the meantime we prepare the stuffing. Peel two raw potatoes.

Cut into quarters and slice thinly.

Drizzle with lemon pepper and a splash of olive oil, mix well.

Chop both onions.

Add them to the potatoes.

Remove salmon from skin.

Dice and fold into potatoes, add thyme.

Pour a spoonful of soy sauce to spice things up.

Use from TM"Kikkoman". Stir to combine, the filling is ready!

Cut off about a third of the dough.

Roll out a big piece of dough into a thin circle.

Grease a 24 cm round in a greased pastry dish.

Fold the pastry in half and place it in the dish. Prick the bottom with a fork.

Spoon out all the filling.

Knock down the filling with a spoon or spatula.

Roll out a small piece of dough as a lid. Decorate with a mold or simply prick it with a fork.

Put the lid of the pastry on the filling.

Pinch the seam.

Brush the top with olive oil.

Put into oven heated up to 180*С for half an hour.

Almost at the very end of baking, take out the pie.

Whisk together the egg yolk and cream.

Spread liberally over the surface of the pie and put back in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.

Let cool for a while and then put it on the table, you can put it right in the cake tin.

This is how even in color the pie turns out underneath.

The cake is 4 cm high.

We cut a big slice.

Eaten until the last crust, as the pastry is very good.

It goes well with a sweet tea when cold.
