Fresh, clean air, silence, the forest, the river nearby, fruits all within arm's reach, vegetables straight from the bed... A fairy tale! One day my son was drinking the homemade milk of the cow Manyunya and said: Mom, that's our Prostokvashino!" And so with his light hand we named our village Prostokvashino. And today, having gathered a lot of Prostokvashino vegetables from the gardens, I decided to pay you a visit. With pie. Flavorful, delicious, and, modestly speaking, spectacular! There's nothing to talk about or praise about, let's make it!

Ingredients for pie "Prostokvashino":


  • Wheat flour / Flour - 3 glass
  • Butter (can be replaced with margarine) - 200 g
  • Egg yolk - 4 pcs
  • Dough leavening agent - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 0.5 teaspoon


  • Tomato - 1 kg
  • Ground beef (you can take any meat) - 250 g
  • White onion - 2 pcs
  • Mushrooms - 250 g
  • Greens (I had basil and parsley) - 1 bunch.
  • Salt - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Carrots - 1 pc
  • Garlic - 3 clove
  • Bell pepper - 2 pcs


  • Chicken egg - 2 EA
  • Egg white (leftover from the dough) - 4 units
  • Cream (15% fat) - 200 ml
  • Hollandaise cheese - 150 g

How to cook pie "Prostokvashino" step by step with photos

Here are our main characters. The tomatoes have to be the same size, but I couldn't agree on them growing the same size, so we'll use a variety of sizes. Okay, here we go.

We begin our creation by preparing the dough, which we knead from butter, flour, egg yolks and baking powder.

Then we form it into a ball, wrap it in clingfilm and put it in the fridge for 30 minutes. into the fridge.

While our dough is cooling we fry stuffing with onion and carrot, and separately send in a pan chopped mushrooms with small onions. Roast until tender, salt and pepper to taste.

Mix fried minced meat and mushrooms, add fresh herbs, chopped garlic and sweet pepper.

Meanwhile, our dough has cooled properly, and we can proceed to the next step - baking the base for our pie. To do this, you need to roll out our dough about 7mm thick, put it into a greased and flour-sprinkled dish so that it forms sides about half the height of our tomatoes. What do you say?! :D Prick our dough with a fork and put it in a preheated 180 degrees oven for 15 minutes.

While our pastry spends a nice time in the oven, we cut the tomatoes in half and remove the seeds with a teaspoon. You should end up with a bowl like this.

Fill our tomatoes with the filling we prepared.

Take the base out of the oven and put our tomato bowls cut side down in it.

Prepare the filling. Separate the yolks of 2 eggs from the egg whites and mix with the cream. Grate cheese on a fine grater and add it. Whites should be beaten into a stiff foam and gently mix with the bulk.

Pour the mixture over the tomatoes and throw our cake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius.

There it will spend the next 30 minutes and will come back fragrant, ruddy
