How to cook yeast pie "pumpkin prune pie" step by step with photos
Make stuffing. Dice pumpkin and bake in oven until soft, about 15-20 minutes. I made it in a baking dish. |
To the pumpkin add sugar, boiled rice, soft butter, chopped prunes. Mix all the ingredients for the filling. |
Prepare dough for decoration. Mix cold water and flour, knead well and put into sachet, let let rest. |
Make yeast dough for the pie. First make the sourdough. Add yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 4 tbsp. 1 tbsp flour., cover and let stand for 20-25 minutes to infuse. |
Then add the remaining sugar, salt, eggs, vegetable oil, and flour to the risen stew and knead the dough. |
Knead the dough well and leave it to rise in a warm place. Since the apartment is warm right now, I covered the bowl of dough and left it just on the table. After the dough has risen, crimp it and let it rise again. We get 1 kg of dough. |
Take 500 grams. Roll out the pastry into a rectangle on a non-stick baking sheet. Place the filling on the dough, about 2 cm from the edge. |
Tuck and pinch the dough from the edges of the pie as pictured. Transfer the pie to the baking tray along with the sheet. |
Roll out the yeast dough thinly and cut into 5-7 mm thick strips. |
From the sliced strips make a grid on the pie. |
Roll out the yeast dough and cut out flowers with a mold. |
Place the florets around the edge of the pie. |
Let's make a rose decoration. Cut five circles d=5 cm out of the yeast dough, I did it with a shot glass. Overlap the slices as on the picture, roll up and cut in half, you get two rosettes. |
Cut small flowers and leaves out of white dough. |
Decorate pie with flowers, rosettes and leaves as on photo. Put the cake in a warm place to prove. |
Brush the cake with egg and water. Bake in the oven at 170-180 C until golden. |
Cut off a piece of cake, pour the tea,... Enjoy your tea! |
I have some dough left over, made 6 meat and mushroom patties. |
