No Bake Cake

Cooked cake with no baking

Time to cook: 45 minutes

Total Servings: 8

Yet another no-bake cake. This cake is perfect for home tea parties, evening gatherings. The cake is sweet enough, and instead of banana in the filling you can use thick jam or sour-sweet fruit jelly, which will add sourness and flavor to the cake. You can decorate to your taste, whatever your imagination prompts you. Time is given without taking into account soaking of the cake in the fridge.

First Love Cake

Cooked Cake First Love

Recently my beloved daughter literally flew on the wings and said that she must be in love, and most importantly - it's mutual))) Also, a boy is coming over to meet us. This is the real spring! Spring is here, spring is in my heart))) Oh, you have no idea how my hands and feet were shaking, and in honor of this joyous occasion, I decided to bake a cake that I had long dreamed of, but had no reason to be so busy. It is as tender, reverent, airy and intoxicating as first love, like spring, like happiness. So, I invite you to try a piece of cake, not sugary, moderately sweet, made of mousse with dark chocolate, mousse with white chocolate and a layer of pear mulled wine. Ruletka's idea. Oh, I have a weakness for souffle cakes))) Interesting? Come in, help yourself...

French cooking has a wonderful recipe for custard dough profiteroles. And I'll share an idea on how you can make profiteroles not only tastier, but also more interesting. This is a dessert that kids are going to love. Profiteroles are usually filled with custard, and this is where Haas helps us out with their vanilla-flavored, ready-made custard.

Harry Baker's Chiffon Bisquick

Cooked Chiffon Biscuit by Harry Baker

Time to cook: 45 minutes

Total Servings: 8

By popular demand I present you the recipe for the Classic Chiffon Biscuit. I apologize in advance for the quality of the photos. A little history: In 1927, Harry Baker, a Hollywood insurance salesman, invented the recipe for chiffon cupcakes (so named for their unusual tenderness and airiness). Twenty years later, in 1947, he sold his patent to "General Mills" and the chiffon cupcakes began to be produced on an industrial scale. Since these cupcakes contain liquid vegetable oil rather than solid fat, it is impossible to beat a lot of air into such an oil. Therefore, in such cakes (cupcakes) almost twice as many whites are put in relation to the yolks, which are thoroughly whipped, absorbing a lot of air (incidentally, the option of disposing of excess proteins). This air and the moisture evaporating from the dough is what lifts the cake. However, because of the decent amount of oil, we have to add baking powder - leavening agent (not baking soda! - not baking soda (not soda as there is no acid in the dough).
