Delicious and pretty apples! This time I poured apple juice instead of syrup and it worked so much better. The number of apples is approximate, since the shallower the apple, the more you can fit in the jar. I have two 2-liter and 3 liter jars out of this amount. Of the 7 kg of apples, a third went to the juice, which we needed 2 liters, we mix it with 2 liters of water. My apples were hard and sweet, so I put not a lot of sugar. Softer varieties might burst, so choose a firmer one, and if your apples are sour, add more sugar. Taste the juice before pouring over the apples before rolling and add sugar if not enough for your taste. It's the beginning of the season, so please make it, you won't regret it!
