There have been so many recipes for canning tomatoes over the past few days. I offer you mine, maybe someone can use it. This recipe is taken from my mother-in-law's old notebook. She used to love this stuff. I've been canning tomatoes this way for years, too. The tomatoes taste sweet, and the vegetables give them a special flavor. There is very little vinegar in this recipe, which is also important. In winter, tomatoes are eaten with pleasure, carrots and onions can be used in salads, and the filling also goes into action. Recipe is for a 3-liter jar.

These tomatoes in their own juice with garlic, horseradish and bell peppers. I always used to roll up tomatoes in their own juice according to the well-known recipe - I poured the juice over the tomatoes. Last year I tried the tomatoes in a friend's place (thanks a lot for this recipe). I liked them a lot, so I borrowed this recipe (although it didn't have a name, I came up with this myself), rolled up 3 three-liter jars. In the winter we opened a jar for our guests, and everyone was overjoyed! This year I decided to do it again and I want to share this recipe with you. This year I have really great tomatoes, so this recipe is good for destroying them.

Here's another quick side dish for you to try. Red pickled tomatoes are, of course, delicious, but they have one disadvantage: the flesh is separate and the skin is separate.
