There have been so many recipes for canning tomatoes over the past few days. I offer you mine, maybe someone can use it. This recipe is taken from my mother-in-law's old notebook. She used to love this stuff. I've been canning tomatoes this way for years, too. The tomatoes taste sweet, and the vegetables give them a special flavor. There is very little vinegar in this recipe, which is also important. In winter, tomatoes are eaten with pleasure, carrots and onions can be used in salads, and the filling also goes into action. Recipe is for a 3-liter jar.
