  • Chicken hearts (frozen) - 400 g
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 150 g
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc
  • Soda - 1/3 teaspoon
  • Seasoning (15 herbs & spices - (see below) 0.5 tsp.L for batter, 0.5 for boiling) - 1 teaspoon
  • Hot red pepper (for batter and boiling hearts) - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Greens (dried parsley and dill) - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Sunflower oil - 1 glass
  • Hard cheese (grated) - 80 g
  • Salt (for boiling the hearts) - 0.5 teaspoon

How to cook chicken hearts in cheese batter step by step with photos


Defrost chicken hearts and boil in salted water until tender. Add ground red pepper, parsley, and dill at the end of cooking to spice up and flavor the courgette.

Make thick batter - flour, cheese, water, egg, salt, baking soda, spice, pepper. Pour oil in small saucepan and bring to boil. Dip hearts into batter and pour into boiling oil with two forks. Turn down the heat from time to time and add more heat to prevent the batter from burning.

The dough is golden and fluffy.
