I love chicken liver - it's quick and inexpensive to make. And if you add new ingredients - and it starts to play with new colors. It's a simple recipe, but it's really good. (And let's not fry anything...) Please, come in and help yourself!

Boil the rice. I used rice "Color Mix Aquatica" from Mistral. Pour the rice into a pan with water at a 1:2 ratio and bring to boil. Then cover the pot with a lid and simmer for 30-35 minutes, until the rice has absorbed all the water. Remove from heat and leave for 5-10min under a lid. For saving useful substances don't wash the rice after boiling.

Rinse chicken liver, put into a pan, pour water to the level of the liver, season with salt, bay leaf and black pepper (these spices are optional). Bring to the boil, skim off the foam and simmer over low heat until the liver is tender - about 15-20 minutes.

Shred the cooked liver with a blender and butter. Gradually add the broth in which the liver was boiled, until the desired thickness. I used all the broth. The pâté is a little runny. But you can adjust it by adding the rice.

Chop up the sun-dried tomatoes and all the greens. I have parsley and cilantro. You can have any amount of tomatoes - more or less - to your liking. For me, the more of them, the better.

We mix the liver, rice, greens and sun-dried tomatoes. Taste and adjust salt / pepper level as needed.

The pâté is ready. Very fast and very tasty. This sandwich can make breakfast or dinner. It's even more convenient to take it to work: put it in a little box, cut some bread and enjoy it with a cup of tea at work. Tasty and healthy.
