Ingredients for chicken liver yakitori with dried apricots:

  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

How to cook chicken liver yakitori with apricots step by step with photos

Wash and dry chicken liver and cut into small pieces about 3 cm by 3 cm.

Cut apricots into halves.

We need wooden skewers. String apricots and liver on them in turns. It is better to have dried apricots around the edges, so that they hold the liver pieces in place while roasting.

To prepare the marinade: mix soy sauce and brown sugar in a deep dish.

I used a sauce of the brand "Kikkoman".

Place the skewers in the marinade for half an hour, turning them from time to time.

After half an hour, remove the skewers from the marinade; we will need them, but do NOT pour the marinade out. Heat a pan with a little olive oil. Fry skewers for about 10-12 minutes over medium heat, turning regularly to ensure even cooking.

Pour remaining marinade over skewers, steam over medium heat for about a minute to coat skewers evenly in this glaze.
