Ingredients for the cold appetizer with chicken liver and mango:

  • Onions - 2 units
  • Butter - 100 g
  • Curry (powder) - 4 teaspoon
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 8 tablespoon
  • Marinade sauce (teriyaki) - 2 tablespoon
  • Kefir - 200 ml
  • Mango - 1 pc
  • Chicken egg - 4 pcs
  • Chicken liver - 450 g
  • Tomato paste - 2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt (and pepper to taste)

How to cook chicken liver and mango step by step with photos

Rinse and marinate the liver in a mixture of kefir and soy sauce for 1½ hours.

Let's make the batter. Mix egg, flour, curry, salt and pepper.

Peel and finely chop the mango.

Add chopped mango into prepared batter and mix. You can grind all the ingredients with a blender until smooth, but I chose to make the batter with mango pieces.

Remove liver from marinade, dip each piece in batter and fry with butter on high heat.

Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.

You can make sauce if you want. Then add tomato paste, soy sauce and lemon juice and sauté for 5 minutes, then season with salt to taste. Add water if you want the sauce to be a little too runny.

Fill the liver with the sauce obtained, you can add finely chopped greens and leave it to soak for 1 hour, or rather take the snack with you and go on a picnic.
