Ingredients for this appetizer of eggplants and beef heart:


  • Eggplant - 4 units
  • Sweet pepper - 2 pcs
  • Chili pepper - 3 pcs
  • Garlic - 2 clove
  • Soy sauce (Kikkoman TM) - 2 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) - 100 ml
  • Salt (+1 tsp.l. add when frying eggplant) - 2 tablespoon
  • Heart (boiled beef) - 350 g
  • Sauce (oyster spicy) - 1 tablespoon
  • Cilantro - 1/2 bunch.

How to cook eggplant appetizer with beef heart step by step with photos


Slice eggplant like you would slice French fries. I usually do it on a grater. Slice bell peppers and chili peppers. Salt, knead and let stand for an hour or two.

Rinse out mixed vegetables and strain in a colander. Squeeze out. I should warn you right away, in the eggplant season in my area they are bitter. That's why I included this step in the recipe

Heat vegetable oil, put the vegetables and add soy sauce TM Kikkoman. Fry for about 5 minutes. With the lid on, stirring occasionally

Add chopped beef heart and 1 teaspoon of salt and fry for about 2 minutes with the lid on.

When appetizer is almost done, add finely chopped garlic, oyster sauce, cilantro, stir and turn off the griddle.
