And I'm back with the lard. Who doesn't love lard??! I have half of Ukrainian blood in me, so I'm attracted to this product! So, today we are baking it in the oven. It is tasty both hot and cold, can be as a snack. Try it!

Ingredients for baked bacon in foil:


  • Lard (fresh) - 1.5 kg
  • Garlic - 7 clove
  • Salt
  • Mustard - 20 g
  • Spices

How to cook bacon baked in foil step by step with photos


These are the products I took.

Wash the bacon, cut it into small pieces. Rub with spice mix, I had for kebab. Rub it with garlic.

Cover all sides with mustard.

Wrap in foil. And put it in the fridge overnight. In the morning we take it out and bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes at 200g. But the time depends on the layer of meat in your fat. I didn't have thick lard.

After that I open it and bake for another 10 minutes until it is toasted.

You can eat the lard hot or cold. I wrap the rest of the slices in foil and put it in the freezer when it cools. Then take it out and slice it up. Very tasty!
