Ingredients for snack salad "hearts with pickled onions":

  • Chicken Hearts - 500 g
  • Carrots (Large) - 2 pcs
  • Onions - 3 pcs
  • Vegetable oil (For frying) - 1 tablepoon
  • Vinegar (9%) - 0.5 glass
  • Sugar - 0,5 glass
  • Water - 0,5 glass
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (Optional) - 1 clove
  • Spices - to taste

How to cook snack salad "hearts with pickled onions" step by step with photos

Let's marinate our onions first. To do this we mix the ingredients for the marinade: vinegar, water, sugar, salt. It is the ratio that I liked!!! We cut the onions in thin semi rings and pour the marinade on them. Ideally, the onions should stand in the marinade for 1 hour

While the onions marinade, we put to boil the hearts (until softness, about 40-45 minutes). Let's cool and cut in julienne slices

Grate carrots on a grater for Korean carrots. You can just grate them on a coarse grater and fry in a little vegetable oil until soft, cool

Put onions in a colander to drain the marinade. You can even lightly squeeze it. Serve together hearts, carrots and pickled onions

Taste for salt. You can add some garlic and your favorite spices to taste. The appetizer is ready! You can leave it in the fridge to infuse, so to speak - it will taste even better. You can put a little mayonnaise in it. Or as a snack!!!:) The carrots already have vegetable oil in them, and our onions are soaked in marinade
