Ingredients for Lavash baskets with liver pate

  • Lavash - 1 unit
  • Chicken liver - 200 g
  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Carrots - 1 pc
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Thyme (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Nutmeg (taste)
  • Cognac - 1 tablespoon
  • Cherry tomatoes ( 1 branch)
  • Butter - 50 g
  • Olive oil (1 for pâté + 1 for baskets) - 2 tablespoon
  • Bay leaf - 1 pc

How to cook pita baskets with liver pate step by step with photos

1. Wash liver, remove foil. 2 tbsp. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil (1 butter + 1 olive oil) in a saucepan or cauldron. Dice onion, grate carrots. Fry vegetables in oil until soft.

2. Then add remaining oil. When the oil starts to boil, add bay leaf, thyme, nutmeg. black pepper, liver, soy sauce, cognac.

3. Turn heat down to low and simmer covered for 3 to 5 minutes. Then beat liver with blender. Cut lavash into small squares. Arrange squares in silicone muffin tins.

4. Brush with olive oil. Preheat oven to 200°C. Put the baskets in the oven for about 2-3 minutes. We want the pita bread to get crispy.

5. Then take out baskets from the forms, fill with paste and garnish with a cherry tomato.
