I really like chicken hearts. I decided to do a little more experiment with them and added some vegetables and they turned out amazing muffins.

Ingredients for muffins with chicken hearts:

  • Substitutes (chicken hearts) - 400 g
  • Vegetables (I have a frozen mix) - 150 g
  • Chicken egg - 1 pc
  • semolina - 1,5 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Allspice (mix of red and black) - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sweet pepper (large red) - 1/4 pc
  • Kefir - 1 glass
  • Leavening Agent - 1 teaspoon
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cream cheese - 100 g
  • Sesame - 1 tablespoon

How to cook muffins with chicken hearts step by step with photos

Defrost vegetables.

Boil hearts in salted water for 2-3 minutes. Let cool.

Grind in meat grinder or use a blender.

Whisk the egg.

Add semolina mixed with baking powder, kefir, add some salt.

Whisk once more and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

Add melted cheese and stir into the mixture, preferably using a fork.

Add the hearts and vegetables, mix.

The mass turned out a bit too thin, I added 1 tablespoon of flour, mix it.

Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder.

Spread into muffin tins. If using metal muffin tins, oil muffin tins and sprinkle with semolina. Bake in preheated oven at 200° C for 40 minutes until muffins are done. Leave in the oven for 10 minutes after turning it off.

Lightly toast the sesame seeds.

Sprinkle sesame seeds over muffins.
