Ingredients for paprika battered tongue:


  • Pork Tongue (medium size) - 2 units
  • Chicken egg - 3 units
  • Soy sauce (TM "Kikkoman") - 100 ml
  • Sweet paprika - 2 tablespoon
  • Semolina - 2 tablespoon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Sweet Pepper (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Time is not included Cooking tongue. Boiling the tongue. I do it this way: I put it in cold water (my tongues are medium sized) and bring to a boil, when the water boils I boil it for 5 minutes, then I drain it. Tongue is washed and boiled again. The process of boiling the tongue is long - it took me 2.5 hours. Cook over low heat, with the lid on, leaving a gap. When the tongue is cooked, take it out and put it in cold water for about 15 minutes for easy cleaning.

Peel. Preferably start from the root of the tongue, going upward.

Slice tongue crosswise, not too thinly (so it won't be dry).

Pour the soy sauce into a bowl. Soak the tongue slices in it for about 15 minutes.

In another cup, beat the egg.

Beat it with the pepper and 3 tablespoons of soy sauce.

In a third bowl mix semolina and paprika.

Batter and breading are ready.

We dip each piece of tongue first in the batter,

then in the breading and

back into the batter.

We put it carefully on the griddle with heated oil and fry both sides till the crispy skin.
