How to cook pork skinned appetizer step by step with photos
Take pork skin with bacon. If the fat is thick, trim it off, leaving less than 1 cm. I buy the meat with the skin, there is not a big layer of fat. Wash the skin well and put it in a pot. |
Pour water on skins, add bay leaf, allspice, salt and any spices you like. I use spices for pork. Put on the fire, bring to a boil, turn down the heat and cook the skin until soft. About 2 hours. |
Done skin cool completely in the broth. Meanwhile, peel the onions, wash, finely chop, and fry in vegetable oil until soft. |
Mince the cooled skins through a meat grinder along with a couple of peeled garlic cloves. Add fried onions, hot red peppers, a cup of broth in which the skins were cooked and salt if needed. Stir the mixture well. |
Pour everything into a container covered with foil and place in the refrigerator for 3 hours, or better overnight. |
When the snack hardens, cut it into portions and serve it to the table. It's very delicious with borscht and black bread! It comes out quite a lot, I cut it in small pieces, wrap it in foil and store in the freezer (up to 2 months). Before serving I take it out of the freezer half an hour before I eat it. Of course it's very calorie-dense, but it's so good! Sometimes you can treat yourself to a few bites) |
