My wife and I were inspired by this recipe because we had a lot of zucchini, which our mother-in-law brought us by the bag. My wife began to think how to cook it, she flipped through many recipes and still could not find one to her liking. And then she found what she wants in the store. So, here is our recipe for stuffed zucchini for your attention, dear experienced cooks.

Ingredients for stuffed zucchini:

  • Zucchini (big) - 2 pcs
  • Heart (pork or beef) - 400 g
  • Potatoes (large) - 1 pc
  • Tomato (small) - 3 pcs
  • Onion (medium) - 1 pc
  • Mayonnaise (as you see fit)
  • Hollandaise cheese (any other cheese is fine) - 120 g
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)

How to cook stuffed zucchini step by step with photos

Begin by peeling zucchini and cutting off their bottoms. Cut a zucchini in half lengthwise and gently scrape out the seeds. Put them with their narrow neck down on a greased baking tray.

Next peel a potato and cut it into slices about 0.5 cm thick and put them on the bottom of the zucchini. The main thing is that it should not fall in, but stay firmly inside the zucchini.

Dice the softly boiled heart, tomatoes and onion.

We fry the onion and the heart in a pan, adding a little salt. In general, I offered my wife to stuff with stuffing (sorry for the tautology)), but she did not want to and she came up with the idea of stuffing with the heart.

Next we place the roasted heart with onions on zucchini.

The next layer is a tomato, which can also be salted a little. On top we layer a little mayonnaise. Sour cream would probably go well, too. And put in preheated oven on full power for 40 minutes. We have the maximum temperature of 240 degrees, that is what we have set.

After 40 minutes we take the tray out of the oven and sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the zucchini. Put it in the oven for 10 minutes more. Here is what you get. We did not add the pepper during cooking; we added it when we were using it. Everyone can do it his or her own way.
