The pork heart is a very tasty and flavorful by-product. It can be boiled, roasted or braised. Today we will stew it first, and then bake it in the oven. The heart is tender, juicy and very tasty! It can be eaten hot for lunch or served as a cold snack for dinner!

  • Heart (pork) - 2 pcs
  • Carrots (according to the size of the heart) - 2 pcs
  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Ginger (fresh) - 40 g
  • Spitz (salted with garlic) - 50 g
  • Dill (chopped) - 2 tablespoon
  • Cress lettuce (4 sprigs)
  • Spices (bay leaf 1pc, paprika 5pc, ground pepper to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoon
  • Sauce (pomegranate narsharab sauce) - 40 g

How to cook heart stewed, stuffed step by step with photos


I didn't soak the heart, I just washed it well, cleaned it, removed all the unnecessary things (fat, large vessels, veins) and lightly beat it.

Lay out on the heart any way you like (you can chop everything up, or coarsely): carrot, onion, ginger, salted speck with garlic, chopped dill, a few sprigs of watercress. If you want you can add bell bell pepper.

Roll up our heart, pinned with toothpicks and lightly fry in a saucepan in vegetable oil.

Then we add broth (vegetable or chicken) up to the half of our hearts, bay leaf, several peas of sweet peppercorns and we put it to stew over low heat for 1-1.5 hours, turning it from time to time. You can, of course, leave it like that. Let it cool in the broth, take it out, remove the toothpicks, slice it and serve with any side dish or sauce. Also very tasty. And tender!

But my husband likes them fried, so I put them on a baking tray and browned them in a moderately hot oven for about 20 minutes.

Slice the ready heart and serve with pomegranate narsharab sauce. Mashed potatoes would be better as a side dish. eat up! Tasty!
