  • Apple (variety "Semerenko", sour-sweet) - 3 pcs
  • Chicken liver - 200 g
  • Leeks (white part) - 100 g
  • vegetable oil (a little bit, for frying)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper ( ground, to taste)
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar (balsamic, to taste)
  • Cranberries - 1 handful.
  • Jelly (for the cake, yes, yes, exactly for the cake, colorless jelly) - 0.5 sachet.
  • Greens (a little, for serving)

How to cook warm appetizer "candlesticks" step by step with photos


It's pretty simple. First the apples. Cut off the tops, remove the core and part of the pulp (you have to leave the sides about 0.5 cm thick). We separate the seedbox, but keep the rest. I have also carved stars on the apples. I have not abandoned the New Year mood yet)))) For the filling we cut the leeks into julienne strips. Fry them in vegetable oil.

Add liver, chopped in small pieces. Roast together until the liver is cooked.

Add chopped apples. Braise together, adding salt, pepper and either vinegar or sugar to taste - here at your discretion, depending on what kind of apples, you need to try..

Fill apples with minced meat and bake in oven or microwave under grill (without microwave). Bake until the apples are soft (I will not say on time, I oriented myself "by sight"). In the oven at 170 degrees.

Let's prepare the jelly. For this we need to crush cranberries with sugar, add some water. Make syrup.

Add some jelly to the cake (I can't really say how it will work with gelatin, since the jelly has a really soft consistency and you can easily spread it around, which is exactly what I wanted). Here we go by the instructions, I had to boil it for 1 minute.

Filling the stars on the apples with the jelly. Wrap the tip of a small candle in clingfilm and place the candle in our candlestick. Decorate with greens and serve warm (not hot), you can chilled.
