  • Eggs (large) - 8 pcs
  • Onions (medium size) - 1 pc
  • Hard cheese - 70 g
  • Cream (10-20%) - 430 ml
  • Butter (+ for greasing) - 50 g
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 3 tablespoon
  • Nutmeg - 1 pinch.

How to cook baked eggs step by step with photos


Boil the eggs. The less cooked you can boil the eggs, the more tender the dish will be. There is only one problem: hard-boiled eggs are very hard to peel. Cut them in half. Grease a mold with butter. Lay the eggs with the cut side up.

Finely chop the onions. Fry in butter over low heat for 7 - 10 min. until soft and not discolored. Add flour. Cook for 3 minutes., Stirring. Increase heat to medium and add cream. Cook for 5 minutes., Stirring constantly. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Pour sauce over eggs and sprinkle with cheese.

Bake in preheated 180 degrees oven until golden. Serve hot.
