Tender egg roll filled with two kinds of cheese - hard and melted, cottage cheese, paprika and bell peppers! This appetizer can decorate the festive table or be a nice variety for everyday menu!

Ingredients for the egg roll with cheese and paprika:


Egg layer

  • Chicken egg - 4 pcs
  • Sour cream - 90 g
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 1 tablepoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Hard cheese - 60 g
  • Parsley - 2 sprigs.
  • Dill - 2 sprigs.

Stuffing

  • Cottage cheese - 160 g
  • Hard cheese - 60 g
  • Cream cheese - 100 g
  • Sweet paprika - 0.5 teaspoon
  • Dill - 2 sprigs.
  • Parsley - 2 sprigs.
  • Bell pepper - 2 pcs
  • vegetable oil (for frying bell peppers)

How to cook egg roll with cheese and paprika step by step with photos


For the egg layer: Separate egg whites from the yolks. Mix egg yolks, sour cream, flour, salt and pepper to taste and whisk well.

Add shredded herbs and grated hard cheese. Stir well.

In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites with salt until stiff. Add to the egg yolk mixture, mix gently.

Line a baking tray with baking paper, grease it with oil, pour the egg mixture and spread it out on the tray.

Bake in a preheated 180 degrees oven for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Take it out of the oven and let it cool a little.

While egg layer is baking wash sweet bell pepper, remove seeds. Slice into slices. Fry on a pan, slightly greased with vegetable oil, for 2 minutes on each side, remove from the fire, cover with a lid and allow to cool. Then cut the cooled peppers into julienne strips.

For the filling: Combine the cottage cheese, grated melted and hard cheese. Add chopped herbs and paprika.

Mix thoroughly with a fork until smooth.

Spread evenly the cheese filling on top of the egg layer.

Top with bell bell pepper slices.

Roll up into a roll.

Wrap the roll in foil or cling film and put in the fridge for 1.5-2 hours.
