Ingredients for the egg snack:


  • Chicken egg (boiled) - 5 units
  • baked ham (can be replaced by boiled sausage) - 100 g
  • Mayonnaise - 150 g
  • Pickled cucumber - 2 pcs
  • Brine - 100 ml
  • Green peas - 2 tablespoon
  • Carrots (canned) - 1 pc
  • Sweet pepper (canned) - 1/2 pc
  • Gelatin (for jelly and aspic, 20g.) - 1 sachet.

How to cook egg snack step by step with photos


Slice the bologna or cooked sausage into slices

In this recipe I'm going to use homemade pickles. I always add to the jar with cucumbers and slices of carrots and red bell peppers for beauty. Slice carrots and bell peppers into chunks. Add canned peas.

Chop the hard-boiled eggs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the vegetables.

Pour 100 ml. of cucumber brine, add 100 ml. of water. Pour in the gelatine, stir and leave to harden. Heat gelatin over low heat until completely dissolved. Leave to cool slightly.

In a separate bowl mix the baked pork, vegetables and eggs. Add mayonnaise, pepper, salt. Pour in gelatin. Gently mix until smooth.

Line a bowl with cling film.

Pour egg mixture into mould. Cover it with cling film on all sides. Put it in the fridge until it hardens, preferably overnight. Before serving, remove the foil and cut the snack into pieces.
