Here's a recipe based on "herring under a fur coat" With very soft stuffing, but there is no need to bother with herring!   • Chicken egg - 5 pcs
  • Beets (small size) - 1 pc
  • Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 1 twig.
  • Dill - 2 sprigs.
  • Fish caviar / Caviar (herring, about half a can) - 60 g

How to cook eggs stuffed with herring caviar step by step with photos


Boil the beets for 40-60 minutes until soft. Put the eggs in cold water with 1 teaspoon of salt, put on medium heat and wait 15 minutes, then pour hot water over them and let cool down in 15 minutes. We peel the eggs from their shells, cut them in half and put the yolks in a separate bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork, add the herring caviar and 1-2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, mix well. Peel and grate ready beets, then let them cool.

Finely chop the green onions and place them in each egg half.

Spread caviar mixture on top of onion, I squeezed it with a pastry syringe. Meanwhile the beets should have cooled down, add 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and lightly beat with a blender.

Spread the beet mass on top of the caviar, decorate with the sprigs of dill and serve! Enjoy your meal!
