Quite an interesting and unusual dish in French cuisine. It's just hard-boiled eggs in béchamel sauce with onions. This variant of appetizer comes from a glorious French city named Lyon.

Ingredients for eggs "with all my heart":

  • Chicken egg - 2 pcs
  • Onion - 1 pc
  • Milk - 1 glass
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 1 tablespoon
  • Nutmeg - 1 teaspoon
  • Butter - 15 g
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Greens (I have parsley)

How to cook eggs "with all my heart" step by step with photos

Peel and cut onions in half rings. Cook onions in boiling water for about 5 minutes. Drain the water.

Dehydrate the onions over low heat so that the moisture evaporates.

When they are dried out add butter and brown a little.

Add flour and stir quickly. Add warm milk. You can substitute milk for the broth.

Taste and season with nutmeg, salt and pepper. Cook sauce until thickened.

Hard boil the eggs, cool them and peel. Cut each egg into 4 portions.

Pour béchamel sauce into a bowl and put egg slices into it. Sprinkle with greens and serve. Enjoy Enjoy!
