Omurice, omu-raisu. What lover of anime and manga isn't familiar with Omuraisu?? Especially lovers of shoujo and romance. How else can a shy girl tell her feelings to her koi?? Especially if she's moonlighting as a waitress, or their class is organizing a cafe meida for the school festival. It's basically rice and mixed vegetables mixed with ketchup and wrapped or covered on top with a thin omelet. There are also seafood and fried pieces of meat added to the filling; the number of toppings and fillings is truly enormous. And of course a drawing or a message with ketchup on top. The dish is so popular that it is offered not only in cafes and restaurants, but also in school cafeterias and kindergartens. I suggest you understand the essence of omurais.

How to cook omurais step by step with photos

This dish is Japanese, hence the rice "Japonica" from "Mistral". We cook according to the instructions, they are very detailed and detailed for each kind of rice. It's interesting that for the omuraisu it is recommended to take a little less water, it probably has some effect on the final result.

Finely chop the onion and garlic. Cut the fillets into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add chicken pieces, then onion and garlic. Stir-fry on medium heat until the meat is tender.

Add peas and corn. Stir-fry, stirring constantly for about 30 seconds.

Add ketchup and tomato paste. Stir and let cook for a minute.

Add rice and mix well. Taste and season with salt and pepper.

In a bowl whisk eggs with salt and pepper. Aesthetes can add a spoonful of cream or milk.

Make a thin half omelet. We make an omelet with two eggs per serving. Make it quick. Delay is fraught with dryness of your final result and brittleness of the omelet. We need the omelet to be halfway .

Put a pile of filling in the middle of the omelet.

Next we need to wrap the filling into the omelet, making a spindle shape. Or simpler: put the filling on one half of the omelet and cover the other half. And people with a shaky mind can finish baking an omelet and then (in the plate) just cover the stuffing with it.

Cover the omuraisa with the plate and turn it upside down.

Now we'll arm ourselves with ketchup and paint or write whatever we want. Garnish with greens and serve!
