The perfect egg breakfast or dinner. Be warned right away: it's not an omelet, but rather a soufflé. Flan is a popular French dish. A cross between a pie, an omelet and a casserole. It has a rather thick texture with bits of crab sticks, shrimp, and smoked trout.

Ingredients for flan "sea":


  • Crabsticks ("A'sea") - 100 g
  • Shrimps (cooked and frozen) - 100 g
  • Trout (cold smoked) - 50 g
  • Chicken egg - 4 pcs
  • Cream (10%) - 200 ml
  • Sweet paprika (ground) - 1 teaspoon
  • Corn starch - 3 tablespoon
  • Salt

How to cook flan "sea" step by step with photos


Add salt and sweet minced paprika to the eggs and whisk with a mixer. Do not put a lot of salt, as the fish is added salty.

Add cream to the mixture, whisk.

Add the starch and whisk. I used corn starch, but you can also use potato starch.

Crab Sticks "A'sea" dice.

Dice frozen shrimp, large shrimp should be sliced, small shrimp should be left whole. Dice cold smoked trout.

Add sliced crab sticks, trout and shrimp to egg mixture. Stir at .

For convenience it is better to use silicone form. Pour egg mixture into it. Put the silicone dish in a large diameter mold, filled with water (I use a skillet with a removable handle). Bake the flan in the oven in a water bath. Place in an oven heated to 180 degrees and bake for 40 minutes.

Let the finished flan cool in the form.

Transfer to a serving platter.

Slice the cooled flan. Enjoy!!
