  • Prunes (pitted weight already) - 300 g
  • Cheese - 150 g
  • Chicken egg - 2 pcs
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 4 clove
  • Walnuts - 50 g
  • Salt (The amount of salt depends on the mayonnaise.) - to taste

How to cook appetizer "spicy prunes" step by step with photos


Rinse prunes well and soak in warm water for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile boil some hard boiled eggs.

Remove prunes from water. Dry them with paper towels and remove seeds so that pockets are formed.

Prepare stuffing. In a bowl we place cottage cheese, crack eggs on a fine grater, pound garlic through a press and add mayonnaise. Mix and add salt to taste. Adjust the amount of garlic to taste. We like the garlic to taste brighter, so I add 4 cloves! Regarding the mayonnaise: its quantity depends on the moisture content of the cottage cheese... Add mayonnaise so much, that the mass was pasty and not liquid!

I gave an approximate number of nuts. This is also a matter of taste! For example, we like to put a whole nut kernel and crunch when you bite into it, and some people like to grate the nuts and add them to the filling immediately... Then the stuffing is more tender and fluffy!

Fill prune pockets with stuffing and put a nut.
