Ingredients for the Avocado Herring Cream Snack:


  • Avocados (ripe) - 2 pcs
  • Mascarpone (I have cottage cheese from the freezer) - 150 g
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoon
  • Herring (lightly salted or pickled) - 200 g
  • Wasabi (optional) - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Crackers - 15 pcs

How to cook avocado cream appetizer with herring step by step with photos


Peel the avocado, cut the flesh into slices and put it in a blender bowl (I also added the herring pulp).

Add lemon juice...

... Mascarpone, wasabi, and puree until smooth and homogeneous. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Pipe the mousse on to crackers with a pipette or a spoon. Cut herring into slices and put a piece on each piece.
